In the final episode of Season 1, Dr. Katie Schmidt grew up in the Detroit area, but her studies as a medical student brought her to Providence Medical Group in Mukilteo, Washington, where she learned under Dr. Katherine Bumstead. Katie has learned a lot from Dr. Bumstead, both in medical and mental health practices. Burnout became especially prevalent during COVID-19, and both Katie and Dr. Bumstead share methods to reduce both stress and burnout that can be adapted by anyone.
Finding Joy will be back in early January 2022 with Session 2. The new season will be produced by Doug Nadvornick, Program Director/News Director/Morning Edition Host, Spokane Public Radio.
